CHICAGO – AltaThera Pharmaceuticals is among 10 Chicago companies chosen to launch MATTER, an organization of healthcare innovators developed to promote innovation and collaboration among the city’s leading health care and pharmaceutical entrepreneurs.
AltaThera CEO Brandon Kashfian says the company’s membership in MATTER will further AltaThera’s growth by providing exposure to a broad range of ideas and innovations.
“We believe AltaThera Pharmaceuticals’ continued growth will be accelerated by the exchange of insights and ideas with a select cross-section of Chicago’s life sciences companies,” Kashfian said.
The organization, to be located in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, links entrepreneurs to research institutions, physicians and investors. Other member companies include healthcare IT, medical device and diagnostics companies.
About AltaThera: AltaThera Pharmaceuticals is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on critical care and alternative therapeutics for the unmet medical needs of patients with severe, and often rare, disorders for which few effective treatments are available.
